Morita Christallago (“Morita”) is the founder and the managing partner of Christallago & Partners. Her practice focuses on construction and infrastructure, commercial litigation, arbitration, corporate advisory, and complex dispute resolution.

Morita advises domestic and international corporations, contractors, investors, and private clients on high-value construction disputes, commercial transactions, corporate governance, and regulatory matters. She has particular experience in construction and engineering disputes, representing clients in matters arising from EPC contracts, project execution, and contractual claims.

In her contentious practice, Morita represents clients before the Indonesian courts and the Indonesian National Board of Arbitration (BANI). Her experience includes acting for a leading global engineering and construction group in a complex arbitration arising from one of Indonesia’s major power infrastructure projects, involving contractual interpretation, variation claims, project delays, and construction-related disputes.

In addition to her dispute practice, Morita regularly advises clients on corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, legal due diligence, investment structuring, financing transactions, and strategic commercial arrangements. Her earlier experience in the financial services sector provides her with a strong understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and commercial risk, enabling her to deliver legal advice that is both commercially practical and strategically focused.

Representative Experience
  • Represented an international EPC contractor in a multi-billion rupiah construction dispute arising from a coal-fired power plant project, involving extension of time, variation claims, prolongation cost, and contractual risk allocation against an Indonesian state-owned enterprise before the Indonesian National Board of Arbitration (BANI).
  • Advised a financial technology company on a cross-border merger and acquisition involving a foreign fintech company, including legal due diligence, transaction structuring, and regulatory and commercial considerations.
  • Advised a cloud computing company on Indonesia’s personal data protection regime, advising on regulatory compliance, data processing obligations, and applicable legal frameworks.
  • Advised an Indonesian food and beverages company on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including investment agreements, employment documentation, corporate establishment, and intellectual property protection.
  • Advised an Indonesian cosmetics and beauty distribution company on corporate governance, employment matters, regulatory compliance, and internal company policies.
  • Advised a private client in negotiation, drafting, and reviewing commercial agreements relating to a transaction with PT Monster Entertainment Indonesia.
  • Advised Indonesian recording artist Jordan Susanto on the preparation and negotiation of performance agreements and other commercial arrangements with third parties.
  • Represented private clients in family law proceedings before the Indonesian courts, including divorce, child custody, inheritance, and related civil matters.
  • Represented an individual in a complex credit card fraud dispute involving unauthorized transactions and regulatory issues against financial institutions.
  • Advised an individual investor in connection with an investment in PT Manuvers Maju Mandiri, including the structuring and negotiation of investment and security agreements, preparation of transaction documents, and enforcement strategies, as well as debt recovery proceedings and demand letters.
  • Advised shipping companies on the establishment and structuring of a joint venture, including transaction documentation and regulatory considerations.
